WHAT IS THERAPY?
It is important to understand that therapy is a process. Change rarely happens at the rate that we expect it to. You must be ready, willing, able and patient to allow change to take place.

Therapy is process where you can talk to a compassionate, nonjudgmental person and get healthy, encouraging feedback. Let’s work through problems in a way that is catered to you. It may be challenging. It may be painful. But I’m always on your side and I’m always working to help you feel better and move towards your goals

Often people experience more challenges before the path clears. Nonetheless, change does happen if you put in the work. You and I can move towards helping you gain your life back!
Q. Is virtual therapy for me?
A. Connivence is a big benefit for virtual therapy. For people who are unable to meet in person with their therapist of choice. Virtual therapy provides a mean for clients to meet anywhere with anyone holding license in the state where services are being provided. Clients often meet before work, during lunch or even while waiting on an after school activity to finish. Sessions are held on simple devices, such as phones, laptops and tablets. Through our HIPPA-compliant platform (not Google Duo or FaceTime) we are able to have secure video conferencing session.

Q. What is relational therapy like?
Couples therapy focuses on rebuilding the foundations of a healthy relationship by developing strong communication skills while enhancing the intimacy in the relationship.
Life is all about relationships. Our relationship with ourselves and our relationship with others. We choose to develop deeper relationships with certain people for various reasons. Those relationships can bring us joy, a sense of belonging, steady companionship, and even purpose. Yet for many, our relationships can be seriously lacking or feel out of control. There are steps to take and tools to use that can improve the way we relate with others.

Family therapy works with the entire system Families have their own patterns and rules. Each individual plays their own role in the family system and this contributes to the conditions and routines. Patterns and routines create a sense of familiarity and identity within the family system. This continues even when there is dysfunction within the family unit. I work with families to improve boundaries and communication and help members of the family feel better understood and connected to each other.

Q. How long will I have to be in therapy?
The time commitment for therapy varies depending on the severity of your concerns. Some issues worked on utilize short-term, solution-focused approach, while others are more complexed in nature and may take more time to sift through and work through treatment goals.
